Reports to: Mayor, city council
Pay: $300/month
City maintenance workers are responsible for the upkeep and repair of public infrastructure, including streets, parks and buildings ensuing a safe and clean environment for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, parks and public buildings. This includes tasks such as repairing potholes, maintaining landscaping and ensuring facilities are clean and functional.
Equipment operation: Operate various types of heavy machinery and equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks and snow plows for maintenance projects.
Public Safety: Install and maintain street signs, traffic signals and public lighting to ensure safety for residents and visitors
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations such as natural disasters or severe weather events, to perform necessary repairs and mitigate damage to public property
Lagoon Management:
The Lagoon manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of the lagoon, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local laws. The manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the lagoon.
Key responsibilities:
Directing and implementing lagoon operations: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local laws.
Managing lagoon related supplies and materials. Ordering and coordinating all lagoon related supplies and materials.
Collaborating with vendors: Working closely with vendors involved in lagoon operations
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintaining a safe and clean lagoon environment.
Promoting water safety and aquatic fitness. Coordinating aquatic programs and ensuring staff and trained to respond effectively to incidents
Assuring water discharge reports and completed as indicated and competing documentation.
